Former NHL superstar Jaromir Jagr suggested that his hockey career may be over after 38 professional seasons.
Jagr, who turned 54 last Sunday, is currently playing for his hometown Kladno Knights in the Czech league.
In an interview published late Friday on Instagram, the forward said fans may not see him on the ice again.
'Probably not,' Jagr said. 'It would have to be a miracle. God would have to come, enter me and make me 15 years younger.'
Jagr has recorded one assist in six games this season for Kladno. He last played on Dec. 21.
His participation has delayed his selection to the Hockey Hall of Fame, pushing it back to at least 2029 due to a three-year waiting period after retirement.
A two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Jagr ranks second in NHL history in points (1,921) and fourth in goals (766) and games played (1,733).
The eight-time All-Star and 1998-99 Hart Trophy winner played for nine NHL teams over 24 seasons (1990-2017), including 11 seasons with the Penguins.
Jagr originally returned to Kladno after playing his final NHL game with the Calgary Flames on New Year's Eve in 2017.
