The Philadelphia Union announced a new contract with goalkeeper George Marks on Thursday.
Marks, 26, is signed through 2026 with two club options: the first through June 2027, the second through 2027-28.
'Since joining the Union in August, George has proven to be a strong, reliable component of our goalkeeper group,' head coach Bradley Carnell said. 'His daily competitiveness and commitment elevates the entire team, and we value the role he plays in strengthening our goalkeeper unit as he continues to develop with the team.'
He made three starts for Philadelphia's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate Union II, highlighted by a 10-save effort against Chicago Fire FC II on Sept. 21.
Marks made eight starts for FC Charlotte during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, posting two clean sheets and 31 saves.
