Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton is slated to make his season debut on Thursday night against the host Philadelphia 76ers.
Melton (knee) was no longer listed on the Wednesday injury report.
Melton partially tore the ACL in his left knee during a game against the Dallas Mavericks on Nov. 12, 2024. He underwent season-ending surgery on Dec. 4, making it exactly one year from the surgery to his Thursday return to action.
It is a timely return for the Warriors as star guard Stephen Curry (quadriceps) will miss the three-game road trip.
The Warriors traded Melton to the Brooklyn Nets in mid-December as part of a trade to obtain Dennis Schroder. Melton later re-signed with Golden State as a free agent on Oct. 1.
Melton, 27, averaged 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in six games (two starts) last season before the injury.
Melton has career averages of 9.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 356 games (148 starts) with the Phoenix Suns (2018-19), Memphis Grizzlies (2019-22), Philadelphia 76ers (2022-24) and the Warriors.
Golden State has five players listed as questionable for Thursday's game, including Jimmy Butler, who exited Tuesday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder at halftime due to a sore left knee.
Al Horford (sciatic nerve), Trayce Jackson-Davis (knee), Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) and Quinten Post (ankle) also are questionable to face the 76ers.
