Veteran goaltender Tristan Jarry and breakout scorer Justin Brazeau were placed on injured reserve Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced.
Penguins depth forward Noel Acciari joined them on injured reserve after exiting with an upper-body injury in the opening minutes of Monday's 4-3 road loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Jarry's injury is undisclosed. He played the entire game Monday and stopped 16 shots in his seventh start of the season, which lowered his overall save percentage to .911.
Brazeau missed Pittsburgh's last two games with an upper-body injury. His 12 points in 12 appearances alongside future Hall of Fame center Evgeni Malkin put Brazeau on pace to smash his previous career high of 22 points, established last season with the Boston Bruins and Minnesota Wild.
Brazeau is eligible to return for Thursday's home game against the Washington Capitals. Acciari and Jarry must miss a week, ruling them out until Pittsburgh faces the Nashville Predators in Stockholm, Sweden, on Nov. 14 and 16.
The Penguins recalled forward Danton Heinen, defenseman Ryan Graves and goalie Sergei Murashov from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, where each player spent the first month of the season.
Young defenseman Owen Pickering was reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton after suiting up in four NHL games.
One of the NHL's surprise risers through a month of play, Pittsburgh (8-4-2, 18 points) entered Tuesday as the Metropolitan Division's second-place team.
