Adam Fox's goal with 8:34 remaining put New York ahead in Pittsburgh for good on Sunday, as the Rangers rallied to a 5-3 win over the Penguins.
Fox added an assist to go with his game-winner, J.T. Miller scored twice and Reilly Smith assisted on two goals. Jimmy Vesey also posted his 100th goal and added an assist as New York won for the fourth time in six games. Igor Shesterkin made 36 saves in the win.
Ryan Shea scored twice, and Evgeni Malkin added a goal and an assist for the Penguins. Joel Blomqvist made 11 saves for Pittsburgh, which lost a third straight.
Fox beat Blomqvist on an unscreened shot from the high post, getting the feed from Vincent Trocheck for his fifth of the season to give the Rangers a 4-3 lead.
Malkin gave the Penguins the lead with 7:07 left in the opening period. The 38-year-old got the tip past Shesterkin while fending off Urho Vaakanainen.
Cuylle tied it in the final minute of the opening frame on a power-play goal set up by K'Andre Miller with 48 seconds left in the period. The defenseman gathered the puck behind the Rangers' net and skated through Penguins then fed his teammate at the blueline with a backhanded pass.
After that, Pittsburgh rattled off the next 19 shots, as the Rangers went more than 15 minutes between testing Blomqvist.
Miller gave the Rangers the lead with three minutes left in the second on his 250th career goal.
Shea, who hadn't scored since April 4, 2024, netted his second and third career goals less than three minutes apart in the third allowing Pittsburgh to regain the lead with 16:29 left.
The Penguins registered just one more shot on goal the rest of the way.
Vesey tied it 50 seconds later using Penguins defender Pierre-Olivier Joseph to screen Blomqvist from the left circle. Miller finished the scoring on an empty-netter with seven seconds left. He now has eight points in seven games for the Rangers.
Chris Kreider was a late scratch for the Rangers after skating during warmups. The team announced the 33-year-old has an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day.
