The Philadelphia Eagles are signing undrafted running back DeAndre Torrey, NFL Network reported Wednesday.
The former North Texas standout worked out for the Eagles at training camp on Wednesday.
The 5-foot-7 Torrey rushed for 1,215 yards and 13 touchdowns in 12 games last season for the Mean Green.
Over four seasons, he rushed for 3,228 yards and 36 touchdowns and caught 57 passes for 436 yards and four TDs.
The Eagles have running backs Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, Kenneth Gainwell, Kennedy Brooks and Jason Huntley on the roster. Scott and Gainwell are battling injuries.
Philadelphia opens the preseason at home against the New York Jets on Friday night.
